Patient Safety in Opioid Addiction Treatment
In May 2008, IRETA and the Pennsylvania Medical Society held a one-day clinical training in Harrisburg, PA for practitioners working in opioid maintenance treatment in Pennsylvania. The goal was to provide a best practice update to assist opioid maintenance practitioners, including physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners and physician assistants in their recognition and understanding of evidence-based guidelines for safe and effective medication-assisted treatment.
